We have been present in the Translation Market since December 2005. As the company name itself may indicate, we have been growing in commitment to translation and interpretation art profession at an advanced level of life science expertise, initially confining our service to medical translations. Firm's office is located in Jaworzno, a medium-sized city approximately 20 kilometres away from Katowice - the heart of Silesia, Poland. However, as a result of a superb invention of the 20th Century - the World Wide Web - there is no hindrance as to keeping in touch with our remotely based Clients and between the office and its freelance co-workers.
People are the most precious treasure of companies. Therefore, we constitute a team of experienced translators and interpreters amongst whom there are vocationally active physicians, pharmacists, biotechnologists, molecular biologists, chemists, zootechnicians, botanists, zoologists, veterinary doctors, linguists including scientists and other specialists originating from academic environments. Since the very beginning of our mutual activity we have translated more than a thousand various documents, between them predominantly the ones touching medical, pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology issues. Some of the translators/interpreters are in the course of PhD studies, the other have already held their expertise PhD degrees and/or possess their own scientific output. Specialized translations are always done by experts (no undergraduates) and following that, according to Client's desire, they may be proofread by another translator (e.g. a linguist), an editor or a native speaker of target language. Sworn translations are always applied to a two step text-work. In the first place, a text is translated by someone whose field of expertise matches a particular subject. Next, the text is proofread by a linguist and certified translator in one person. Interpretations are also assigned to persons having an appropriate knowledge from a given area of expertise. Most of us have completed overseas studies, took part in foreign internship programmes, practicals, language courses or possess certificates proving an advanced level of foreign language competence. Moreover, we also deal with large team projects, interchanging information because every single individual has a (slightly) different scope of professional competence. For instance, it is possible for one project to be simultaneously translated by ten people, followed by editor's proofreading including terminology unification as well as inserting necessary alterations. Due to the thematics our business is based on, most of translation jobs, received from our Clients, refer to English-Polish language pair. Nevertheless, we also provide comprehensive translation and interpretation services for branch companies. We make use of the best available computer applications that support translation process. Due to a built-in translation memory, they facilitate the unification of terminology and consistent translation of phrases repeated in the text as well as enable us to save quite a lot of time, i.e. CAT type programmes: Trados, WordFast and other.
